I like the way you haven't bothered to edit your outlines to be perfectly smooth (allot of people try to do that).
Your colour breakdowns are quite good... thats why when you see your work in thumb nail form they look awesome....I.E in that (from the thumb you expect your opening a photo realistic piece...
obviously your going for clip-art type detail...
Also by the way, there is a very nice feel to your work...

I really like it....and I can tell that wicked things are just around the corner for you...

You could go more photo realistic with blur,,,,
or you could up the number of colours in your break down... but regardless i think this type of thing is working for you too anyway....

There is nothing to stop you doing really realistic stuff... but keep up this style.. its allot quicker and easier.....
Another angle would be to play more with transparency and gradient whilst still keeping to a low object count....id like to see you do that too as you already have a nice feel and i can see you could up the anti with alot of overlapping transparent gradients.

Sorry to bend your ear... i like it anyway...good stuff
